Lola is at home and arrives Brownie asking how she is. Brownie takes to Sharon in arms and Lola is thinking and sad. Outside the house is Lyle and Lola takes him tea. Soon the social charwoman visits to them and she says them that Sharon Faylene is very well, she has dealt with affection and says to them that they will be able to visit her when they want. Lyle responds to her that he wants to take care of her daugther but the charwoman talks back to him that does not have any job and his labor file is very inconsistent. Lola says that they will take care of the little girl and the charwoman asks her if she works and Brownie responds that he maintains her. Nevertheless, the charwoman says to them that they are not married. Brownie says that this is not her concern but the charwoman explains to them that the well-being of the girl is over everything and that includes her moral well-being and lamentably the poor little girl does not have any acceptable relative. Sharon is playing in the ground witout knowing that other people are gambling his future. But then Lola asks what would happen if they married. The charwoman responds that the Department would consider it under another more favorable point of view. The charwoman says that that is everything and says to Lyle that can take Sharon to her office tomorrow in the evening or if he prefers it will come an official to gather her. Lyle responds that he will take her.

At night, in bed, Lola and Brownie are thinking. Lola says Brownie thar she loves him as well as in the begining and Brownie responds to her that he also. In the morning, Brownie has gone away to the port and Lola awakes realizing of which she is single in the bed and she rises quickly. In the port Brwonie sees Bosun and he throws his bed roll to him that Bosun accepts and in the Lyle's house he is saying to Lola that Brownie will return because he is a born sailor. But Lola says that when ther were in love he was not marine. Lola asks to Lyle if he also goes away and Lyle explainss that he has to do it because everything remembers Mavis to him. He will work and when has gained a little money he will see world and "never I will return to marry to anyone". Lola says to him that he is right and Lyle requests to her that she be who takes to Sharon to the social assistant as he does not feel able and both they are embraced. Afterwards Lyle rises in his moto and Lola leaves with Sharon in arms to dismiss him. Lyle says to her that he will write and Lola wishes good luck and giving a kiss to his daughter, takes the moto and goes away. Back they are left Lola and Sharon who says goodbye to her father with her little hand.

Lola is making the suitcase and is arranged to take to Sharon with the social charwoman and speaks with Sharon and says to her that nobody will be able to say that they have not taken care of her and although Sharon does not understand her because is very small Lola continues saying that they will take care of her well in these sites. While, Brownie goes by the street walking and he decides to take a taxi but the taxi driver does not hear him and he continues walking. Lola gives a flower to Sharon so that she plays and remains watching the house before leaving her taking Sharon in a small car. Moments later Brownie sees pass a taxi in which interior goes Lola but although he calls her shouting Lola does not hear him and Brownie is put to run taking short cuts by the mountain trying to reach the taxi. Brownie is very tired but suddenly the taxi stops and Lola that has heard Brownie rise running by the hill and hey are sent mutually in arms kissing each other and arriving next the small smiling Sharon Faylene that joins with them and the three embrace and kiss each other.

In the last sequence of the film we see the banquet of weddings of Lola and Brownie. They have celebrated it in the field and is invited Bosun that speaks with the priest who has married them. Brownie does a gesture with the eyes to Lola indicating to Mrs. Lovell who is enchanted playing with Sharon in her arms. Lola rises and we see like the three, Lola, Brownie and Sharon are separated little by little of the table where they are eating and dancing the three go into in the forest. There are moments at which Sharon is in arms of Brownie, but in the end the three dance separately taking themselves by hands full of joy will we here the song "Lucille".
