When Mrs. Lovell returns to the room she finds her daughter with the prepared suitcase to leave. She speech with her and explains hher that Brownie does not interest to her. Lola protests to her that not even gave an opportunity to him, but Mrs. Lovell continues speaking to her about men and their bad influence. Lola says to her mother that she must have much experience with that and Mrs. Lovell gives a slap to her daughter. From there on and without shouting, Lola rises and from the door she says good bye to her mother who remains shut up and without knowing how what to say. Lola goes away of Brisbane and arrives at Melbourne in one night that is raining a lot.
