The first Kylie Minogue's film on the big screen

     

     

Lola and Brownie are dancing in the hall of the hotel where Lola and her mother live. Lola and Brownie are friends and they are dancing in the hall of the hotel where Lola lives with her mother and sudenly they try to do a pirouette dancing and they fall to the ground and the proximity of its faces causes that they finish kissing each other for the first time. The sequence finishes when Mrs. Lovell (Lola's mother) appears surprising and separating them.

Lola is lying on the bed in the hotel room where she lives with her mother. Mrs. Lovell is speaking to her daughter about men, tell her that all men are equals and look for the same thing on a woman so she must take care of them. Lola says that they were only kissing and remains absorbed thinking and saying in low voice: "I am loved, I am loved, I am loved". Her mother goes on speaking and do not understand what her daugther says becaause she is speaking in a very low voice.

     

     

Brownie has been beating by his stepfather while his mother does not dare to stop him nor the neighbors who are seeing it either. Brownie eases up to read in its bed. His stepfather and his mother has left and Lola takes advantage of that to put in his room. He asks to her what does there and Lola responds to him that she has been waiting for him for a long time. Afterwards she approaches and says to him that it is in love with him crazyly and that they are as Romeo and Juliet and make love there for the first time.

     

     

     

     

Lola and Brownie begin to live happy being in the field and loving themselves, one day Lola says to him that she is pregnant. He asks to her if she wants to abort but she says to him that no, so they glide to escape of the city. Both write a letter to their respective mothers saying to them that they go away, they are well and do not worry. In the train they are happy planning all the places that will visit and Lola says to him that they will have a son but Brownie responds to her that the three will always go together and will be free. Nevertheless, the mother of Lola is persecuting her with the police and taking advantage of a shutdown that makes the train they reach them and while Brownie has lowered to bring a coffee to Lola, she is taken by the police and when Brownie realizes and returns running, a punch of a police leaves him knocked down in the platform while they take to Lola to the force shouting the name of Brownie.

  

Brownie has put of stowaway in a boat that goes course to Brisbane, the city where he thinks that Lola can be. On the high seas, one of the heads, certain Buson (Bruno Lawrence) finds and asks for his name. Brownie says to him that Jim Smith and Buson asks to him if he knows how to swim, reason why Brownie immediately responds to him that his name is Brownie Hansen and he wants to go to Brisbane in search of his fiancče. Brownie tells him that his father was a sailor and the same his grandfather and Buson ask to him if he also wants to be it. Brownie remains shut up as he does not know it and Buson says to him that it gathers his things and he takes it to a stateroom so that does not die because of the cold.
