Mrs. Lovell is calling by telephone from a cabin to contract the medical services so that her daughter can abort. While, Lola is nervous waiting for his mother who, when she leaves the cabin, explains to her that they have to go to another city so that nobody finds out the problem of abortion.

Lola is in a hotel with his mother and taking advantage of the fact that her mother has been leaving the room she make her suitcase and tries to escape but her mother has left her locked up with key. Brownie has lowered of the boat looking for her because he has explained to Bosun that her fiancče is pregnant and must find her. Bosun offers work to him as a sailor but Brownie is not still sure. The most peculiar is that they are in the same city where he has passed by stores and bars asking for her and showing her photography and Brownie has even been next to the same hotel where Lola is but they have not met. Lola has been taken by her mother to a doctor who has produced her the abortion and she gives advice that she does not accept. Brownie returns to the boat and says to Bosun that has not found her. Bosun ask him what kind of music does he like and explains to him that he has discs bought in all the ports that has been. In the hotel, the mother of Lola returns to the room and is sitting in the bed with the suitcase done. She says to her duagther that surely he has forgotten her but Lola responds to her mother that she knows that Brownie is looking for her and she reproaches to her that did not give an opportunity to him. Also she says to her mother that she must have much experience with men and then the mother gives a slap to Lola who remains watching her mother and then she rises and says good bye to her leaving the room.

Lola goes away to Melbourne and there she rents a room and she finds a job like waitres. Before, she has been dyed the colour of her hair to blonde and has the aspect of a person of more age than it has. Nevertheless, she takes the influenza and being ill she cannot work and cannot pay to the rent and the owner of the room gets away without contemplations in spite of being ill. Bosun and Brownie lower of the boat when arriving this one at Melbourne. Bosun has been with a friend and Brownie is dedicated to cross pubs and bars. When entering one of them he hears to whom touching the piano and immediately he recognizes the music. He approaches behind the blond pianista and he says "Lola". When Lola tour cannot be thought that it is Brownie. Both they are kissed and they are embraced and soon they seat on a table and they count each other what has happened while there have been separated. Lola explains to him that she works in that premises and they let her sleep in the warehouse. She says to him that her mother forced her to abort and Brownie tells her that he was looking for her but did not find her. Brownie puts a little jealous because he sees that there are many men who greet a friend of Lola and estimates that she has been with many men but Lola says to him that does not have any straight since he was not there when she needed him. Brownie realizes and he requests excuses to her and Lola says to Brownie to make love with her.

Both they leave the premises. It is at night and it is raining. Brownie takes to Lola until the boat and he says to her to put a wool cap to disguise and that it seems a man. They arrive at his stateroom and Lola is enchanted to be there. Lola asks to him where is the rest of the crew and Brownie explains to her that they are of permission and they return on the following day. Lola pays attention that a poster of the film "The Wild One" has patch in the wall, the same one of the day that fell in love when they could not enter the cinema and they went away to take a walk by the park. Lola embraces and kisses Brownie and she explains to him the badly that has passed it and that perhaps she has not done the correct thing at any moment but always she has loved him. Brownie also says that he has always loved her and then they make love and they remain slept. The following morning Bosun enters the stateroom of Brownie and finds them both in the bed. Lola watches to him. Bosun says to her that it hopes that no one of the union finds her on board. Brownie awakes then and Bosun ask her name and when saying to him that she is called Lola he responds to her that it is glad of which they have been eeted again but those of the union will not be glad and will have to leave. Brownie explains to him that she is ill and that they have thrown it of the room where it lived. Lola says to him "You are Bosun and have discs worldwide and has taken care of to my Brownie by my". Later Brownie fights to convince to Bosun that she remains in the boat, saying to him that he loves her. Bosun gives him the key of a stateroom and he says to him that she must hide but that he must leave to cover once in a while.

When they arrive at Brisbane Lola dressed as a boy and Brownie lowers of the boat and they go away of purchases. In the store she proves several dresses and she removes and show her leg to Brownie that is waiting outside, but in the end Brownie ends up entering the fitting room and the owner of the store sees them kissing each other but Brownie says to her that they buy the dress that Lola was being proven. Soon they go to a celebration with Bosun and there is a woman with a little girl in arms and Lola does signs to Brownie so that he invites her to dance. Brownie invites her but she, that is seen that she has many desire to dance, says to him that she cannot beacause of the little girl, but appears Lola and says to her that she will take care of the girl. The woman is an eddy dancing and they do a group of people around them seeing how they dance. When the woman, named Mavis, finishes to the dance appears and presents his husband to them who is called Lyle and the little girl is named Sharon Faylene. Speaking among them, Mavis and Lyle explain to them that they live on as squaters in a very great house and that there is site if they want to come to live with them. The house is the one that are now celebrating the party. Brownie watches Bosun and thinks it but in the end he accepts remaining to live with Mavis, Lyle and Sharon.
