Lola is in the corrective school for girl and requests to learn to play the guitar. The matron says to her that it is more useful to learn how to use a typewriter and Lola says that it will be useful when she writes her book that will speak about police and social assistants, will be titled "The Bastards that I Have Known". The matron says to her that she has known them harder but anyone has risen over her. She remembers to her that she must be there the following 12 months so "you will see". Later they inspect in the dormitories and they find under the Lola's mattress a photo of Brownie that yhe matron breaks in several pieces.

Brownie has appeared in the corrective to visit Lola but as it is not Sunday they do not let him enter in spite of the pleas that Brownie does to the guard of the door. In the inside the matron is inspecting music discs and she throws them one by one and she says to the girls that all are going to receive a corrective. It takes the record player and takes but at this moment, one girl call bitch to the matron. From then on there is a tremendous riot there and all the girls rebel throwing things to the ground, burning mattresses and throwing them by the windows of the building and must come the police to put order. The girls face the police and in a while Lola is seated in the ground, absent, while it follows the revolt between the other girls and the police. On the following day the matron is in the dormitory with Lola and she says to her that if she knows that today is a very special day. Lola responds to her that it turns 18 years. The matron asks her what she would like to make to celebrate it and Lola says that live to see her 19. The matron laughs because of the answer and says to her that she hopes by her that this reality becomes true since it has only left two weeks of their sentence and wishes that they happen without incidents. The matron desires happy birthday to Lola and leaves the dormitory.

Lola leaves the corrective with solitude face, but suddenly she sees that opposite is Brownie that is waiting for her with branches of flowers. Both they arrive at house of their friends Lyle and Mavis and Brownie take to Lola in arms and he calls them shouting and saying to them to watch what he has taken to the house. Lyle and Mavis leave to receive to Lola and all are embraced. Lola asks Mavis if she is pregnant again and this one says to her that what luck hers when marrying with a damn rabbit and all laughs. Later Brownie and Lola are knocked down in their bed and Brownie says to her that they are together already and Lola responds to him that she does not want that they never separate again and she requests to him that promises that always will be together and Brownie says of course to that. Lola says that she does not think that he understands what means to be together. Lola rises of the bed and Brownie says to her that it is where it is he continues to loving her but Lola responds him that that is no longer enough and that the only way to survive is being together because she is not made to be the girl of a sailor. "I do not share your dream". Brownie talks back to her saying if she does not remember that they had spoken of they were going to see the world totally free. Lola says to him that she has changed and she is fed up with the world kicking her. She says to him that always they have done what he wanted and now she wants to do the best thing for her.

Brownie takes a walk by the port with Bosun and he explains to him that Lola wants that lets the sea to be with her. Brownie explain to him that he loves her very many and misses her when he is outside. Bosun says to him that he already happened for that reason and he chose the sea and he does not regret absolutely. Also he says to him that he is going to give an advice to him: "If you feel resentment towards Lola by force you to be in earth, you will finish to hate until death, although the same is possible to be said of the sea. You are a sailor".

Lola is thinking at bed when enters Lyle in the bedroom saying that the contractions have begun. Shortly after they are in the hospital. Lola has to Sharon in arms and Lyle is standing waiting and he says to her that it seems that there are complications and they are operating Mavis. Lola and Sharon enter the room to see Mavis and she gives a kiss to Sharon. Soon the nurse says to them that they must leave and Lyle remains with his woman who requests to him that it remains with her. Outside, Lola is with Sharon and a nurse when suddenly it appears Brownie that seats next to Lola. The nurse has gone away with Sharon in arms. Brownie asks to Lola that how is Mavis and she says to him that they had to operate her. Suddenly Lyle appears crying saying to them that the boy has died and Mavis is very bad. Lola leaves and Lyle remains with Brownie until they warn to him and leaves running but when he arrives at the room the doctor notifies to him that she has died. Lyle is desperate and Lola also. The following scene is in the cemetery. There are only Lola with Sharon, Brownie and Lyle.
